Do I need an account to use Cobalt Capture?
Not to start. Capture and annotate as much as you like before we ask for anything. When the review is ready we ask for an email so we can send you the link, no password and no card.
You never sign up before you have something. The ask comes at the end, and it is one field.
- Capture, crop, annotate, and dictate with nothing signed in. Screen capture, pasted screenshots, pins, arrows, text labels: all of it works before we ask you anything.
- When your review is ready, we ask for an email. That is so we can send you the link. No password, no credit card, nothing to install.
- Opening the link in that email saves the review to your account. That is what keeps it from being deleted, lets you edit it, and shows you who opened it.
- Free reviews stay live for 7 days and then lock. Pro ($5/month) keeps every review on your account live.
Why we ask at all: an unsaved review lives only in the browser that made it. Close that tab on a different machine and there is no way back to it, for you or for whoever you sent it to. An email is the smallest thing that fixes that.
If you already made a review without saving it, open the link we emailed you to keep it.
Capture your first review.
About a minute from open tab to a shareable link a person or a coding agent can act on. Rather not do it by hand? Have your AI run a whole study and come back to the review.
